What is fish farming ?

Fish Farming, otherwise known as offshore aquaculture  is the most rapidly expanding food industry in the world as a result of declining wild fisheries,stocks and profitable business.

Technology

We use NS9415 approved sea farming cages, nets, moorings, anchors and frames from leading equipment suppliers such as Hvalpsund and Akva group.  Our equipment is bought to withstand rough conditions  and at the current time we are operating one sea farming site in Dyrafjordur.  Plans are afoot to operate further sites in Dyrafjordur, Patreksfjordur and Talknafjordur in the near future.

Sea Based

Fish farming with emphasis on Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) and Arctic Trout (Steelhead, Oncorhynchus mykiss) according to ASC standard raised in the clean Arctic waters of Iceland.

Land Based
